Hi!  My name is Kate.  I was raised in DeFuniak Springs, Florida (small town on your way to 30A!).  After high school graduation, I went to University of Alabama and obtained a degree in Public Relations. Ten years later, I moved to Nashville and pursued my dream of becoming a nurse.

I found true joy working for Monroe Carell Children's Hospital in many areas, including Hematology/Oncology, Cardiac, Holding Room and PACU, all of which I loved with a passion. After 12 years there, I transitioned to Quality, Safety and Risk Prevention as a Sr. Patient Safety Advisor for Vanderbilt Medical Center for another 10 years.

I have 2 grown children and two wonderful grandchildren that are truly the light of my life.
My faith is important to me, and if not for God, I wouldn't be where I am today. I am truly blessed. My favorite things to do are cook (trying new recipes all the time) and spend time with my grandbabies.  

I am excited to join Choose Joy Nursing and look forward to taking care of, and nurturing, babies and their mamas. It’s a calling, not a job!
